Description
This painting is based on the story of the Wizard of Oz and the adventures of Dorothy. However, unlike the world of Oz, Dorothy finds herself in a field of poppies in the mountains of my father's family with the Tungurahua volcano as a background. "Daheim ist es am schönsten" is the German expression for "There is no place like home". This phrase is written in classic German calligraphy and is a saying that can only be understood when you are away from home.
