Raúl Morales is an Ecuadorian artist and researcher dedicated to plant science and passion for the magical surrealism. His works capture places, moments and situations that are part of his life with a fusion between the real and the imaginary. His interest in science led him to learn about art. Raul is also a dedicated plant scientist (Ph.D. in Horticulture) specialized in plant propagation physiology. He has developed a focus on the development of biosystems to enhance plant production techniques such as cutting propagation, in-vitro culture in bioreactors and chlorophyll fluorescence analysis. Currently, his research is conducted in the Biosystems Engineering Laboratory (Blab) in Osnabrück, where his art studio is located.

From there, he paints stories that are captured between colors and brushes. All the pieces of art exhibited by the artist are hand painted with acrylic colors of the best quality on canvas of different dimensions that are also available as digital art.
