Description
As Albert Camus said: “Women are all we know of paradise on this earth.” This work reflects the complex relationship between men and women from a feminine perspective. In this painting, a crowd of men look for the attention of the dancing women who dance in a kind of paradise. This work is a fusion of the Graces from Greek mythology and the fifteenth century religious paintings regarding the ascent to heaven. The Graces represent women as goddesses of charm, beauty, nature, human creativity and fertility. Between heaven and earth, two trumpeting angels announce the Last Judgment for men. On earth, men have to deal with their hangups, fears and inner demons while begging for attention from women. At the end, both men and women suffer together; some for choosing the right one, and others for having the opportunity to be chosen.
