Description
Acroyoga is a physical practice that combines yoga and acrobatics that is usually done as a couple. This is one of the most realistic works I've ever done and it represents an acroyoga session in my room where my atelier is located. The painting shows several canvases that I have painted and plants as well as art books in my room. Among the decorations, there is a poster of the city of Quito, a Matryoshkay and my climbing shoes. The couple refers to the ballet of "The Lady and the Fool" created by ballet choreographer John Crank. The story concerns the love of a poor clown for a society beauty, who finally rejects her wealthy suitors and chooses a life with the clown.
