This work of art represents my version of the well-known Virgin of Sorrows and tells of Mary's feeling of pain, throughout a lifetime, and it commemorates the profound union between she and her son, Jesus. One of the most iconic characteristics of this work is the representation of the strength of the human being in the face of the sufferings of life. Through painting, the sacrifice of a mother for her son is expressed, and it teaches us the need to face adversity and move forward in the face of any painful situation. The seven daggers represent the seven pains of the Virgin Mary, referring to the events of the life, passion and death of her son. It is also a commemoration of the difficult times that are currently happening in my country. For your pains Mary, you receive great glory in heaven and triumph there as glorious queen of martyrs.
