Description

This painting depicts a scene of yellow grosbeak, also called "Huiracchuros" in Quichua, in the branches of a fig tree. These birds are one of the many types of birds that visit my parents' garden, which is full of citrus and tropical fruit trees. Regardless of the time of year, there are always birds that interrupt my parents' harvest. Even though they eat the fruit, and my mother tries to scare them away, these birds are always there.
